Flavor: What does the donut taste like? Is the sweetness cloying, lacking, or just right?
Texture: Is the donut fluffy or dense? Moist or dry? Does the topping or filling improve the overall texture through crunch or contrast?
Enjoyment: How much did you enjoy the donut? Would you order it again or seek it out? If faced with a box of assorted donuts, would you reach for this flavor or prefer something else?

The Lineup: We tested 22 different donuts from Dunkin’. We focused on the ring and filled donuts, including their munchkin equivalents for comparison. We also tried three donuts from their Artisan collection, which are exclusive to select branches.
Why We’re Doing This: Dunkin’ has more donuts than your fingers and toes. Which ones do you pick for your box of six? We tried 22 Dunkin’ donuts to find new favorites, reevaluate childhood picks, and give the flavors we hate another chance (Strawberry Filled hits different as an adult).
How We Tasted: All donuts were purchased the same morning as the taste test to ensure freshness. Each donut was sampled as is, unheated, at room temperature.
How We Scored: Each donut was evaluated across 3 criteria. Final placements reflect the Pepper team’s averaged impressions.
Transparency: This taste test is not sponsored or paid for by Dunkin’. We just love donuts!
