Milkman Dairy Bar’s Cereal Milk Will Bring Out the 90s Kid in YouApril 30, 2015

Cookies and milk are a classic pairing, but @milkmandairybar seems to have upped the game by turning the ‘cookie’ part into dough and adding that nostalgic Momofuku-inspired magic cereal touch to the ‘milk’. Visit their Instagram account and your jaw (and maybe some saliva) will drop.
And we are convinced because who wouldn’t want to take a photo of that stunning view? Popping the caps reveals salty pretzels dusted with graham crackers, sweet chocolate chips mingling in between those crisp, savory curves. The Birthday Party cookie dough is a firework display of candy sprinkle confetti, tiny pastel-colored marshmallows, and yes, more chocolate chips.
But here’s a disclaimer: if you’ve had a lot of sweet to eat in the day, eating these cookie dough might be a mistake, as was the case for me, since I was already at the brink of bursting due to too much ice cream. I had to lay low on the dough, but their cereal milk is a completely different story. A drop of it on my tongue opened a whole new chamber in my belly that only yearned for more. Nostalgic and more reminiscent of the cereal flavor you had during your childhood breakfasts, it’s the sort of thing you’d like to have on your bedside while you’re in your jammies and watching re-runs of Freaks and Geeks, All That, and Clarissa Knows It All. Okay, I’ll stop now before my age starts to show.
There’s no fancy-schmancy thing going on with their cereal milk. It’s as straightforward as you can get. The Classic variant is made with Cornflakes, Chocolate with Koko Krunch, and Fruity with Fruit Loops. I mean, it really is no-frills. But perhaps, it’s because I haven’t had cereal for breakfast in a while, and if we share the same, somewhat-bizarre habit of letting the cereal soak in the milk for a good 10-15 minutes before digging in (yes, until your Honey Stars or Koko Krunch or Cap’n Crunch get as soggy as paper submerged underwater), shoving those limp sugary bits in your mouth, and (here comes the best part) holding the bowl by its sides and draining every drop of that golden milk (and some leftover cereal grits!) down your throat, then Milkman Dairy’s cereal milk just freaking nailed it.
