Wonderbowl by Ramen Nagi Brings a Modern Take on the Japanese Izakaya Tradition to BGC

July 10, 2019

The guys behind Ramen Nagi has brought another Japanese concept into the metro: Wonderbowl. The casual restaurant puts a modern twist on the Japanese izakaya with a menu that highlights small hot and cold plates, grilled skewers, and sushi. Following tradition, you’re encouraged to get several of these to share family-style. They also carry classic izakaya beverages such as highballs and sake.

The Grilled Japadog—it’s like takoyaki… but on a grilled sausage.

It’s a great place to hang out in before a rager, especially if you’re looking to fill up on both food and alcohol to last you until the wee hours. And don’t worry, Wonderbowl has a pretty stellar cocktail menu (developed by some friends connected to The Curator). It’s also open until midnight daily, giving you enough time to decide if you’ll get a late night bowl of lobster ramen. Just go for it.
