Use Your Burger Patties in These Five Delicious Recipes

When coming up with a meal plan for your household, burgers might not be the first thing that comes to mind. This should all change with the five recipes we’ve listed below, which are so easy to pull together, and are all incredibly satisfying.

We’ve partnered with CDO Ulam Burger to show you how versatile this product can be. Burger patties don’t just belong in buns; in fact, they work in almost any dish. Start out by trying the meals below, which prove you can make anything with CDO Ulam Burger.

Mushroom Burger Steak

The most popular way to eat burger patties aside from in between buns, is probably burger steak. Add mushroom gravy, and top it on hot rice, this meal is found in popular Filipino restaurants all over. The best thing about this recipe is you can customize it to your liking: use whatever mushrooms you have in your pantry, add garlic if you want a little more kick.

Yield: 2 servings | Time: 30 minutes

INGREDIENTS

  • 6 pieces CDO Ulam Burger
  • 1 cup mushrooms, sliced
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 2 tbsp flour
  • 1/2 beef cube
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • Fried garlic, for serving
  • Spring onion, for serving
  • Rice, for serving

METHOD

  1. In a pan over medium heat, cook CDO Ulam Burger until browned on both sides.
  2. 
Set aside.
  3. In a pot over medium heat, add mushrooms and cook until softened.
  4. Add butter and flour and stir continuously and cook until flour is dissolved, about 2 minutes.
  5. Add beef cube and stir until dissolved.
  6. Whisk in milk and cook until sauce has thickened, about 2-3 minutes.
  7. Prepare 2 bowls with rice.
  8. Divide the CDO Ulam burger between the bowls and top each with half of the gravy.
  9. Garnish with fried garlic and spring onions before serving.

Sweet and Sour Burger Patties

You might have never thought of adding sweet and sour sauce to your burger patties, but this Chinese-inspired dish actually works well together. Because you can get your burgers a little bit crispy around the edges, it gives it a slightly crunchy texture, while still letting the beef absorb that delicious fruity glaze.

Yield: 2 servings | Time: 30 minutes

Ingredients

  • 6 pieces CDO Ulam Burger
  • 2 tbsp. oil
  • 1 cup red bell pepper, cut into 1-inch pieces
  • 1/2 cup red onion, cut into 1-inch pieces
  • 3/4 cup tomato sauce
  • 1/2 cup pineapple juice
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1/2 cup canned pineapple
  • 1/2 tbsp. cornstarch + 2 tbsp. water
  • Spring onion, for serving
  • Rice, for serving

Method

  1. In a pan over medium heat, cook CDO Ulam Burger until browned on both sides.
Set aside.
  2. In a pot, heat the oil.
  3. Add the bell pepper and red onion and cook until softened, about 5 minutes.
  4. Add the tomato sauce, pineapple juice, soy sauce, and canned pineapple.
  5. Bring sauce up to a boil then cook for 5 minutes.
  6. Add the cornstarch dissolved in water and continue to cook until the sauce has thickened.
  7. Add the CDO Ulam Burger back into the sauce then transfer to a plate for serving.
  8. Top with spring onions and serve with rice.

Adobo Glazed Burger

This adobo glazed burger steak has become our favorite way to cook our burger patties. It’s so simple but so genius, and introduces Filipino staple pantry ingredients to what we usually think of as an American dish. Add garlic rice, and you’ll be having this any time of day.

Yield: 2 servings | Time: 30 minutes

Ingredients

  • 6 pieces CDO Ulam Burger
  • 6 cloves garlic, sliced thinly
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp white vinegar
  • 2 tsp sugar
  • 2 tsp cracked black pepper
  • 1 tsp. cornstarch + 1 tbsp water<
  • Garlic rice, for serving

Method

  1. In a pan over medium heat, cook CDO Ulam Burger until browned on both sides.
Set aside.
  2. In the same pan, add the thinly sliced garlic and cook until softened, about 3 minutes.
  3. Add the soy sauce, white vinegar, sugar, and pepper and cook until sugar has dissolved and mixture is boiling.
  4. Add the cornstarch dissolved in water and continue to cook until glaze has thickened.
  5. Add in the CDO Ulam Burger and cook until glaze completely coats the burgers.
  6. Prepare 2 plates with garlic rice and divide the Ulam burger between the plates.
  7. Serve.

Shawarma Burger Rice Plate

If you’re a fan of minced beef kebab and want a quick and cost-efficient way to have those flavors at home, then turn your burger patties into this shawarma rice plate. Just add those spices to your ready-to-cook burgers, and make sure you have some garlic sauce ready for the full experience.

Yield: 2 servings | Time: 30 minutes

Ingredients

  • 1 tsp. dried oregano
  • 1 tsp. cumin
  • 1 tsp. garlic powder
  • 1 tsp. turmeric
  • 6 pieces CDO Ulam Burger
  • 2 tsp turmeric
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 2 cups white rice, cooked
  • Cilantro, for serving
  • Tomatoes, for serving
  • Red onion, for serving
  • Yogurt or garlic sauce, for serving

Method

  1. Combine oregano, cumin, garlic powder, and turmeric.
  2. Sprinkle the spice mixture evenly over CDO Ulam Burgers.
  3. In a pan over medium heat, cook seasoned burgers until browned on both sides.
Set aside.
  4. In a pan, melt butter and add turmeric.
  5. Add the white rice and toss until well coated and colored.
  6. Transfer rice to plates then add the CDO Ulam Burger and cilantro.
  7. Serve shawarma plates with tomatoes, red onion, and yogurt or garlic sauce on the side.

Loco Moco Gravy Burger Plate

If burger steak with gravy is still your favorite way to have your patties, then here’s another take on a classic. Hawaiian loco moco isn’t far from the way we like to eat ours Salisbury-style, but it’s made more filling with the addition of a fried egg. Imagine sitting down for breakfast with this feast in front of you.
