Tapas by Mantra Lets You Enjoy Modern Takes on North Indian Street Food

January 9, 2019

Tapas by Manta is the bar that accompanies the chic neighborhood restaurant Mantra Bistro, which we consider one of the underrated gems of our city. Ranjit Chimni’s restaurant that is located in the back of the Grand Midori building has been extended to include cocktails and finger food inspired by North Indian Street Food.

They call this their version of the Sloppy Joe.

The Keema Pav is what Tapas by Mantra calls their “Indian version of a Sloppy Joe.” The flavored ground meat is hot enough to get us sweating, and tasty enough to keep us eating anyway. It sits on a pillow-soft brioche bun that is especially made for Mantra. And though the dish is made for sharing with 4 Keema Pav on a plate, you’ll may want at least two to yourself once you try it.

Bea Osmeña is a healthy-ish eater who is just as likely to take you to a vegan joint as she is to consume a whole cheese pie to herself. A former picky eater, Bea has discovered the joys of savory fruit dishes, but still refuses to accept pineapples on her pizza. On the rare occasion you catch her without food in her mouth, you are likely to find her looking at books she can't afford, hugging trees, or talking to strange animals on the street.

Saw it last Saturday, but had Desgo plans already. Definitely trying this one when I have the chance (loved my previous Mantra experience) .
