Salted Caramel Nestlé® Crunch® Truffles

January 1, 2019

I remember watching an episode of Modern Family where Manny Delgado sprinkled a pinch of salt over his chocolate milk. His mother, Gloria, told him that salt actually helps bring out the flavor of sweets—especially chocolate. Anyone who tries our Salted Caramel Nestle® Crunch® Truffles, will be forced to admit that she’s right. The salt does make sweets taste better.

Crunch Truffles1

We’ve made a dessert that puts together two of the most frequently salted sweets: caramel and chocolate, and combined them into a simple yet sinful dessert.

Crunch Truffles2

These truffles are unlike any other you might have had before. The rice crispies from the Nestlé® Crunch® bar coupled with the rock salt brings out the distinct flavors of the caramel and the chocolate while adding a new exciting dimension of texture.

This looks yummy. I would like to make this. But just one question. How do you exactly boil a can of Condensed Milk? I’m afraid the can might explode on me.

    • Lars Roxas says:

It won’t. Boiling a can of condensed milk straight is actually one of the easier ways to make dulce de leche. I don’t even remove the paper label because I’m lazy. 🙂 Just make sure that you add more water to the pot as needed when you boil. Since open siya to the air, siguraduhing wag matuyo ung loob.

I guess the “1/8 rock salt” is just your typical kitchen rock salt, right?

  4. Raizel says:

It wasn’t Gloria whi said salt brings out that salt brings out the flavor of the chocolate. It was Kelly, Manny’s classmate.
