Founded by one of the country’s youngest and fastest rising food groups, Yabu has become a mall-staple for their consistently great food and even better service. The always-pleasant staff respond with courtesy and speed, and you can’t knock the gloriousness of unlimited side-dishes that are delicious enough to eat on their own. Though it is not one of the cheapest restaurants, Yabu is one of those joints where you leave feeling like you got 110% bang for your buck with their unlimited cabbage, miso, rice and fruit.
Yabu’s dish to brag about is their kurobuta pork that they call the “kobe of pork”, celebrated for its unparalleled succulence, and it is worth the order if you’re feeling fancy. A guilty pleasure that meets our baboy dreams is the Menchi Katsu, a combination of ground beef and pork and filled with cream cheese. But the dark horse on their menu is the fried oyster.
