Prik nam pla, or fish sauce-soaked chilies, is an all-around Thai dipping sauce that works as sawsawan for Filipino food, too.
In Thailand, when a dish needs a little extra something, you reach for prik nam pla. This all-around sawsawan has chilies (prik) and fish sauce (nam pla) as its core ingredients—everything else is to taste. Take this recipe as a guideline for you to tweak and tinker with.

Make prik nam pla: Add all ingredients in a small bowl. Stir to combine. Let sauce steep for at least 10 minutes, then serve.
