Julep—a Southern American favorite, traditionally made with fresh mint, ice, water, and bourbon. Here we have our own version made with the essence of pineapple, which lends a sweet-sour flavor to the julep. Cool and refreshing, this easy drink will have you dreaming of lazy Sunday afternoons in no time.
Pineapple Mint Julep
Yield: 1 serving
Time: 5 minutes
- 3 tbsp bourbon
- 2 tbsp pineapple juice
- 4 mint leaves, bruised
- crushed ice
- lime slices, as garnish
- Combine the bourbon, mint, and pineapple juice in a glass.
- Fill with crushed ice and stir well. Serve immediately. Garnish with lime slices.
