Beef, Breakfast, Burgers, and Blood on Today's Pepper Eats

Le Magnifique! from Café Breton (PHP 220)

Addi

Addi says: “Bananas, chocolate, hazelnut, almonds, whip cream, and Nutella, all in one crepe. It had several layers of varying sweetness and textures, yet it didn”t taste as heavy and nakakaumay as I had expected. The only issue I had was that there wasn”t enough on the plate.”

Roast Beef Sandwich from Bugsy”s Bar and Bistro (PHP 350)

Adee

Adee says: “The beef could have been more tender, and the sauce is nothing special. Even the fries were under-salted.”

Rating: 5/10

Shrimp Carbonara Pizza from Nolita (PHP 290 per slice)

Diana

Diana says: “Kind of bland, but nothing a little salt and pepper couldn”t fix. The crust was a winner though; suitably crisp but with a distinctive chew.”

Rating: 6/10

Customized Burger from Burger Bar (PHP 225)

Kat

Kat says: “I”ve had several burgers from Burger Bar already, and this has been the best so far. I kept all the toppings to the basics (lettuce, tomatoes, pickles and onions) but played around with everything else. The I love the hint of sweetness in the Brioche bun, the in-your-face meatiness of the Beef Bomb patty, and the combination of the cheddar and the mellower mozzarella.”

Singles Platter from Rub Ribs and BBQ (PHP 205)

Lars

Lars says: “The ribs are actually a lot bigger and a lot sexier than my shitty photography might lead you to believe. The meat was cooked perfectly and the glaze was equally impressive. Best of all, it was Using the initial cost being reduced, Nj has already been a far more enticing prospect than Nevada also it becomes doubly so considering that online best-casinos-online.info gaming may also be available here. cheap.”

Crispy Dinuguan from Kanin Club (PHP 274)

Mikka

Mikka says: “I am told that the classic, sloshy dinuguan (paired with puto) is worth a try, but it makes my innards twist into a knot. Kanin Club”s version has converted me into a passionate dinuguan lover, primarily because of the pork”s fatty crunch against a slightly-thick (but not watery) stew. It”s perrrfect with garlic rice, and if challenged, I can probably finish a whole order by myself. I would only give the classic dinuguan a try, but only if it”s served on a lunch date with Andrew Garfield.”

Rating: 9/10

2 pc. Hotcake Meal with Blueberry Syrup, Hash Browns, and a Sausage McMuffin from McDonald”s (PHP 135)

Nico

Nico says: “They should really find a way to keep the hotcakes warmer. But everything else was perfect for breakfast. Two words for IHOP: Suck It.”

Rating: 8.9/10

Ganjang Gejang from Pro Ganjang Gejang, Seoul (price to follow, still converting)

526518_10151826766606047_1339937973_n

Pam says: “After researching long and hard for great eats in Seoul, I came across this delicacy which I knew I had to eat when I got there. The fatty crabs are marinated raw in a mix of soy and rice syrup and my tears of joy, then kept away for days. The result is crab sashimi that is so disgustingly good, sweet, and soft. The roe is the best part, and if you mix in some rice in the head, it makes the most awesome aligue rice ever. We need Korean restaurants to serve this dish here.

Rating: 100/10

I Declair from Jack”s Loft (PHP 165)

Serna

Serna says: “It”s a giant, ice-cream stuffed eclair barricaded in by fluffy whipped cream, and drizzled with thick caramel syrup. Need I say more?”

Rating: 9/10
