Can’t Go Wrong with this 6-Stack Pancake Tower in Today’s Pepper Eats

November 25, 2018

Pepper Eats is our weekly photo-journal featuring food we stuffed our faces with.

Yam Donut with Typical Seafood from Boon Tong Kee (PHP 345)

Serna says: “This is one donut I wouldn’t mind lining up for.”

Diner’s Rating: 9/10

Pares and Rice from Jerry’s Pares (PHP 35)

Nico says: “It won’t win points for being pretty, but it’s very tasty. Made from the odds and ends of a cow, and cooked forever in a thick, savory broth, it’s a satisfying meal for the rainy days.”

Diner’s Rating: 8.8/10

Crispy Calamari from 4 Fingers Crispy Chicken (PHP 189)

Mikka says: “I could have this every freaking day.”

Diner’s Rating: 10.5/10

Two orders of McDonald’s 3 piece Pancake (PHP 67 each)

Lars says: “Waaaaay better than it has any right to be.”

Diner’s Rating: 8.5/10

Lemon Meringue Tart from Wildflour (PHP 130)

Katrina says: “I had such high hopes for this dessert, but I was so disappointed. I initially thought the cloying sweetness was from the meringue, but when I tasted them separately, I realized it was from the lemon filling. It had none of the kicky, zingy citrusness that I look for in citrus desserts. There was so much sugar in it, I could almost feel caries forming on my molars on the spot.”

Diner’s Rating: 3/10

High and Mighty Pie from Chili’s (PHP 375)

Giselle says: “An indulgence that comes with absolutely zero regret.”

Diner’s rating: 8/10

Pulled Pork Sandwich from Draft Gastropub (PHP 380)

Adee says: “It’s rich in flavor and the serving size is big, but it also caused umay since it’s oily and a bit too sweet. I recommend sharing it if you don’t have the same kargador appetite that I do.”

Diner’s Rating: 7.7/10

Kare-Kareng Bagnet from Pino Resto Bar (PHP 255)

Addi says: “The perfect cheat day meal.”
