Now, you don’t have to stock up on those fancy designer buckets of popcorn they sell at the grocery.

With just one bite, you’ll be reminiscing about past Halloweens and the times you visited the amusement park as a kid. Each recipe just takes all of ten minutes to whip up, which means that you can easily finish preparing a bowl before the long commercial break is over.

Peanut Butter Maple Popcorn

Total Time: 10-15 minutes (literally) | Yield: 4 servings

Ingredients

  • 12 cups popped popcorn (original or butter)
  • 2/3 cup maple flavoured corn syrup
  • 2/3 cup sugar
  • 2/3 cup peanut butter

Procedure

  1. Pop the popcorn and set it aside in a mixing bowl.
  2. In a saucepan, combine corn syrup and sugar. Bring to a boil.
  3. Remove the syrup mixture from the heat and stir in the peanut butter until smooth.
  4. Pour sauce over the popcorn and toss together well to coat everything completely.
  5. Cool a while and then serve.

Pumpkin Spice Caramel Popcorn

Total Time: 10-15 minutes (literally) | Yield: 4 servings

Ingredients

  • 8 cups popped popcorn
  • 1/3 cup butter
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 2 1/2 Tablespoons corn syrup
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
  • a pinch of salt (if using unsalted popcorn)
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
  • 2 teaspoons pumpkin pie spice

Ingredients for Homemade Pumpkin Pie Spice

  • 1/2 tsp. ground nutmeg
  • ½ tsp. ground ginger
  • ½ tsp. ground cloves
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon

Procedure

  1. Pop the popcorn and set it aside in a large mixing bowl.
  2. In a saucepan, whisk together the butter, brown sugar, baking soda, and corn syrup over medium heat. Cook until the mixture thickens.
  3. Remove the now-caramel mixture from the heat, and whisk in the vanilla, pumpkin pie spice, and salt.
  4. Pour the caramel mixture over the popcorn and toss well to coat everything evenly.
  5. Cool a while and then serve.
