Bistronomia is known for several Spanish concepts including Rambla, Las Flores, and Tomatito. Early this year, they opened their first Italian venture: Osteria Daniele. According to Dani Aliaga, one of the visionaries behind the restaurant group, the transition felt only natural. He and his partners grew up in Spain; and apart from their own cuisine, they also remember enjoying ingredients and recipes from their neighbors in Italy.
The restaurant is striking, with its colorful mix of textured furniture and shiny finishes. It looks incredibly posh, yet still maintains a sense of comfort that makes you feel welcome to slide into the retro-looking banquettes. The simple menu consists of classic Italian food; there’s no pizza, but you’ll quickly look past it after savoring their alternatives. All their pasta is fresh and handmade daily. Try the Orecchiette, a salty-spicy dish made with nduja sauce and Italian sausage.
