Make These Mango Soju Yakult Ice Candies for Your Last Summer Party

June 2, 2019

Soju has rapidly broken into the Philippine cocktail scene, with bars picking it up to use as a base for different mixes. It’s uncomplicated flavor and sweet undertone pairs well with light, refreshing ingredients, making it an ideal drink during hotter times. Summer’s nearly over, but that doesn’t mean we can’t keep the season’s spirit alive. We’re in a tropical country, after all!

Ice candy but make it R-18.

This recipe marries two summer favorites into the Korean spirit: mango and ice candy. We also put in some good ol’ Yakult because we care about your bellies. (But honestly, it’s because Yakult and soju are a match made in heaven, with the former giving the mix a nice tang.) Make a couple of batches, stick ’em in a cooler, and bring them out on your last summer hurrah.
