Horlicks Milk Spread with Koko Krunch Bits on ToastDecember 29, 2018

Horlicks is a malt-based drink that’s a staple in Hong Kong and Singapore. Think of it as Ovaltine-minus-the-chocolate, just simple pure malt (and sugar). It makes me wonder how the people in Hong Kong and Singapore manage to stay so slim despite having Horlicks on the breakfast table almost every freaking day.
Another thing you would commonly find serving for breakfast is Condensed Milk, usually accompanied by toast and butter on the side. On that end, we Pinoys understand the pairing completely. We’ve been putting drowning our morning pandesal in the stuff for decades. Mmm.
Today on Pepper, we’ve created a breakfast spread that incorporates Horlicks, Condensed Milk, and Koko Krunch. A word of caution: this is pretty sticky and clings to your mouth. Please don’t forget to brush your teeth and wipe your mouth after. You wouldn’t want your crush think that you still munch on glue at your age.
It does make for an effective mouth sealant you can feed to precocious kids who won’t stop talking, though.
