These Gummy Bears have an Evil Plan to Get You Drunk: Gummy Bear SangriaAugust 4, 2018

These tiny gelatin-based grizzlies are a vital part of our generation’s childhood. Whether it’s debating about eating the head or feet first, these sweets are an instant time machine to our grade school days. Two decades later, who says we can’t enjoy them now? Especially with our favorite bottle of white wine.
Sangria normally requires a bottle of red wine such as Cabernet Sauvignon, Shiraz, or Merlot mixed with a citrus juice and fruits thrown inside. For this recipe, we used white wine instead to bring out the rainbow color of the gummy bears and fruits. We replaced the citrus juice with Sprite, and added slices of oranges and lime to bring out that tangy punch.
It’s such a playful take on the serious sangria, and compared to dimly lit bars, this spiked refreshment can be enjoyed even on a sunny, breezy day. Just be careful who sees you down this glass, you wouldn’t want 9-year olds to start getting wasted now would you?
