Globe Lumpia House Makes Super Flavorful Lumpiang Sariwa for Only PHP20

August 22, 2019

Globe Lumpia House is a tiny eatery in Quiapo’s old Globe Theater—hence, the name. Operating since the 1950’s, the place is a popular stop for lumpiang sariwa (fresh spring rolls), which they make using ubod (heart of palm), crushed peanuts, and their homemade sauce. It costs PHP20 apiece, and each one is made fresh upon order.

We’d go all around the Globe for this lumpia.

Pro-tip: One roll isn’t enough. We recommend buying at least three (it’s very light, anyway) for yourself. You’re supposed to consume it within four hours, but we’ll bet you’ll have finished everything before even leaving the store. Their lumpia is very flavorful, and the medley of ingredients gives it a variety of textures. Don’t sleep on the sauce that comes with it; slather it on there.
