Finally, a Bespoke Cocktail Bar in the Kapitolyo Area, and It’s Hidden Inside Sisig Society

February 6, 2019

Designed like your distinguished tito‘s study, or we suppose are now referred to as man-caves, Three Little Pigs is a speakeasy unexpectedly hidden above Sisig Society in the Kapitolyo area. The interiors are covered in amusing paintings and prints of pigs ranging from famous images with the main character being replaced by a pig, to a portrait of the famous Ms. Piggy herself. The walls are wood and dark wallpaper that inspire you to whip out a cigar (although, sorry, no smoking here) or perhaps an old-fashioned pipe. And of course, to pair with it, a well-made cocktail.

The most dramatic lighting right here.

The bar serves classic drinks made right, like the Negroni, Moscow Mule, Old Fashioned, and more. But one classic cocktail that stood out to us, usually for its omission on other bar cocktail menus, is the Clover Club. A drink which apparently “pre-dates the prohibition“, the Clover Club is a gin-based cocktail that has lemon juice, egg white, and raspberry syrup, for something dry and sweet. Though instead of the traditional dry shake, Three Little Pigs makes theirs with a reverse dry shake, for a thicker and longer-lasting foam.

Bea Osmeña is a healthy-ish eater who is just as likely to take you to a vegan joint as she is to consume a whole cheese pie to herself. A former picky eater, Bea has discovered the joys of savory fruit dishes, but still refuses to accept pineapples on her pizza. On the rare occasion you catch her without food in her mouth, you are likely to find her looking at books she can't afford, hugging trees, or talking to strange animals on the street.
