Exclusive: Shake Shack to Open First Manila Branch in 2018

April 1, 2017

Rumors of Shake Shack’s arrival in Manila have been going on for years: in fact, we incorrectly received a tip and included it on an anticipated restaurants list in 2014. However, a few years later, we are excited to break the news here on Shake Shack will be opening in Manila sometime in the first quarter of 2018, with a location in Bonifacio Global City that we can’t reveal just yet.

With its global expansion, the burger juggernaut has recently found itself planting roots firmly in Asia, with Seoul outlets opening in the second half of 2016 after the chain’s success in Japan. Next year, they will be bringing in their famous ShackBurgers®, Shack Stacks®, and a locally-inspired Concrete, that will be exclusive to the Manila branch. While the Tokyo Edition has black sesame puree, and Brooklyn‘s version has pie from the famed Four & Twenty Blackbirds, ThrillaManila has vanilla custard, coconut jam, peanut milk chocolate, and Bucky’s Chunky Blonde chunks.

Manila is slowly becoming a modern food capital, with Michelin-starred chefs and restaurants making their home here, and both our food and many of our stellar local concepts constantly being recognized. Shake Shack’s first branch in the Philippines will add even more credibility to our rising status.
