Easy, Tiger Serves Up a Delicious Thinly Sliced, Fatty Pork Neck with a Traditional Thai Dip

April 9, 2019

Easy, Tiger is the latest concept from 12-year-running restaurant group Jatujak, behind casual mall concept Jatujak and upscale Tamarind: Taste of Thai. Easy, Tiger finds its place comfortably in the middle, with affordable prices for elevated takes on casual regional Thai cuisine. The interiors are inspired by old Bangkok streets lined with shop houses. The walls make use of 2nd-hand lumber, and the furniture gives the place a 50’s vibe.

We recommend trying the pork neck dish, that is served with a rich yet refreshing dip. The pork itself is lightly sweet, lightly salty, brightened up with citrus that balances out the pork, and a manageable spice. Thai food is known for aiming to strike a balance between those 4 flavors, and this dish manages to do so with ease.

Bea Osmeña is a healthy-ish eater who is just as likely to take you to a vegan joint as she is to consume a whole cheese pie to herself. A former picky eater, Bea has discovered the joys of savory fruit dishes, but still refuses to accept pineapples on her pizza. On the rare occasion you catch her without food in her mouth, you are likely to find her looking at books she can't afford, hugging trees, or talking to strange animals on the street.
