Desgo Hot Pot Is a 24-Hour Hot Pot Place That Has a Wide Range of Broths Including Tomato, Seafood, and Curry

November 22, 2018

Owned by married couple the Liaos, Desgo Hot Pot is a 24-hour hot pot place in Makati that has one of the most extensive and diverse hot pot menus we’ve ever seen, boasting ingredients imported from all over the world. For those who want to stray from the traditional clear broths and spicy broths, Desgo offers specialty broths such as seafood, tomato and curry—and we especially enjoyed the curry.

Which 2 broths would you pick for the center of your table?

Together with her husband, Lois Liao has been running Desgo since it first opened last year in June. The restaurant has since managed to make itself stand out amongst the numerous hot pot places that have popped up around the Metro, for its kitschy interiors, high quality ingredients, and friendly service. Though it may be a little hard to find, once you do, you’ll realize just how easy it is to get there from the Central Business District. You may want to plan your visit for your barkada Christmas party because, after all, hot pot is meant to be shared.

Bea Osmeña is a healthy-ish eater who is just as likely to take you to a vegan joint as she is to consume a whole cheese pie to herself. A former picky eater, Bea has discovered the joys of savory fruit dishes, but still refuses to accept pineapples on her pizza. On the rare occasion you catch her without food in her mouth, you are likely to find her looking at books she can't afford, hugging trees, or talking to strange animals on the street.
