Get your work featured in Pepper.
We believe great work can come from anyone and anywhere.
If you’d like to have your work featured in Pepper, you can contribute by submitting a recipe, visual art, or a meme. Make sure to read our FAQs before proceeding to prevent misunderstandings.
Am I going to get paid? If you ask for it, and we really like your work, yes. Simply indicate your fee when you submit. (For transparency: we’re a tiny company and we don’t have a large budget so don’t expect a bar of gold!)
Can I contribute without asking for payment? Absolutely!
Why should I contribute if not for money? For bragging rights, personal enjoyment, or getting your name out there. You’ll get full credit for your work should we decide to publish it. (We know how unpaid work can make some people upset, but this is entirely voluntary. Understand what you’re getting into.)
Who owns the work I contribute? You. We’ll never use your work for commercial purposes.
How will I be credited? If it was used in a website post, then your name will appear in the website’s post contributors. For social media, we will write your name in the caption where your work was featured.
What if you steal my ideas? We won’t. It’s unethical and it’s tacky. However, because of the messy and fluid nature of ideas, they sometimes overlap and blend. For protective people, this can lead to unnecessary finger-pointing and territory-marking. So…if you’re convinced that you’ve invented the next big thing in afternoon snacks, best keep them to yourself.
Do I need to complete my work before contributing? It can go two ways. You can pitch your idea, or if you prefer, we can assign you work after we review your portfolio.
Can this eventually evolve into a full-time job? One of the main reasons we run a contributors’ program is to scout for talent. This is one way to open the door.
