For those who watch the Food Network (or are die-hard fans of America’s version of the famed Kitchen Stadium), Michael Symon is a familiar face. Yes, this celebrity chef, Iron Chef America regular, restaurateur, family man, crossfit guy, and now, author, has released a recipe book that’s dedicated entirely to meat. It’s called Carnivore (of course).

Carnivore contains 120 recipes that are definitely not safe for vegetarians. Some might be horrified to learn that Chef Michael Symon has managed to find a use for almost every cow, chicken, pig, lamb, and cute little bunny wabbit part you can buy, including the cuts you might have not known were edible. If you’ve heard Chef Michael discuss meat, you’ll know that he’s an expert and genius on (and a fan of) being a carnivore. In his book, this meat geek discusses at length various meat-related topics (like how to prepare beef jerky) that you never knew you could do at home.

The book provides detailed information on the things you need to know about meat. Sure, it’s a lot to take in, but there’s nothing that’ll cause you to bang your head on the desk. His tone is very light, conversational, and peppered with the occasional quip or witty remark. According to a Random House Review, their favorite recipes include the Broiled Porterhouse with Garlic and Lemon, Ribs with Cleveland BBQ Sauce, Braised Chicken Things with Kale and Chiles, Lamb Moussaka, and Bacon-Wrapped Rabbit Legs (are you starting to salivate?). Don’t worry, he didn’t forget to include the sidedishes.

The cookbook is a work of art in itself. Great writing juxtaposed with amazing photos by Jennifer May comprise this epic meat cookbook designed especially for meat-lovers everywhere.
