The current heat situation in Metro Manila is maddening. Sometimes, it feels as if the sun is just a kilometer away from your face, broiling your supple skin, resulting in a funky scent, inevitable tan lines, and a lavish amount of sweat. Not the best way to greet your lunch date.
And while walking a block under this sun is synonymous to a Death March, it’s almost a treat to get a whiff of air-conditioning from the nearby convenience store, or better yet, a pitcher of this Berry-Pineapple Cooler. Think of it as an oasis in the midst of this Metro Manila desert.
Tart berry flavors are mixed with pineapple juice, creating a tropical chiller that’ll cool you from the inside out. At least a pitcher is recommended for this concoction, whether virgin or spiked. Extra caution to be observed the latter variation.
