An ASUS FonePad 7 Captures a Day in the Life of the Pepper.ph TeamMarch 30, 2015
Writing about food is definitely rewarding, and us folks at Pepper love that our jobs involve eating for a living. So we decided to pair up with ASUS by taking their Fone Pad 7 out for a spin, and give our readers a behind the scenes look at how we put together one of our most popular columns, First Impressions. First Impressions is one of three columns that we put together specifically for restaurant reviews. This column deals with newly-opened restaurants that we visit for the first time, just to check out what all the buzz is about.
We gather our information from all sorts of sources, from reading up on new blogs, to checking out Facebook and Instagram tips. Today, we are dealing with a new take-out counter place in the Rockwell area, which we discovered only because one of our writers lives in the area and passed by the place while it was still in the throes of being built. It often takes both a writer and a photographer to write our reviews, making sure that all our photos are of the same quality that Pepper is known for. We try and order at least one dish from each menu category (salads, appetizers, mains, etc), and look out for both best-sellers, and stuff that sets them apart. Then anything goes, really—we shoot, eat, and have a blast.
Using the Fone Pad 7 FE171CG to show you all the process of our reviews was a fun partnership—a 3G smartphone and tablet in one, it’s extremely slim and light weight so bringing it with us is more of a breeze than baggage. It’s got an incredible 5MP rear camera that’s great for taking the photos we use on our social media sites. Plus, the Intel® Atom™ Multi-Core Z2520 Processor with Intel® Hyper-Threading Technology allows for fast and responsive browsing and this, coupled with a long battery life, means we can always upload on the go without a glitch. It’s an easy, breezy way to not only enhance your Instagram and Facebook feeds, but even blog on Pepper while mobile.
