Try Panchita’s Tenga or Isaw for Only Php 20 a Stick near Don Bosco in Makati

August 18, 2018

Having been around for over 20 years, Panchita’s is an institution in Makati, a stone’s throw from Don Bosco (and a regular haunt for the students right after dismissal). Though you could also say it has been around for over 60 years if you count the years it was called Pancho’s, run by the same family (the Margallos family, that is) and serving the same food only under the masculine moniker then.

This plate for PHP 60? Not bad at all.

The joint is usually rumbling with a steady stream of customers outside of its peak hours, but the wait is well worth it to satisfy your barbecue cravings without a major dent to your wallet.

Bea Osmeña is a healthy-ish eater who is just as likely to take you to a vegan joint as she is to consume a whole cheese pie to herself. A former picky eater, Bea has discovered the joys of savory fruit dishes, but still refuses to accept pineapples on her pizza. On the rare occasion you catch her without food in her mouth, you are likely to find her looking at books she can't afford, hugging trees, or talking to strange animals on the street.
