Not For Sissies: Sriracha Mango Cocktail Shots

Though it’s pretty enough to pass as one of those drinks topped with little paper umbrellas, this Sriracha Mango Cocktail will set your mouth on fire. It starts with a sweet mango puree mixed with whisky, and finishes with pain. Unless you’re a masochist or have zero alcohol tolerance, we suspect it’ll be difficult to get drunk on this.

Also, we recommend this as a complementary pulutan.

Sriracha Mango Cocktail Shots

Total Time: 15 minutes / Yield: 6-8 servings


  • 3/4 cup ripe mango puree
  • 1/3 cup corn syrup
  • 1/4 cup whiskey (we used Jack Daniel’s)
  • Juice of 1 lime
  • 2 cups ice cubes
  • 1/2 – 1 tsp Sriracha


  1. Mix all ingredients in a shaker.
  2. Shake well for 3-5 minutes.
  3. Arrange shot glasses.
  4. Squirt in some sriracha and pour mango mix.
  5. Serve immediately.
