Founded by the same group that brought you Army Navy, Coco Hut Fried Chicken & Fish rapidly expanded from their first branch in Commerce Center, Alabang, to six branches across Metro Manila. It’s no wonder that they were able to do so successfully—besides the fact that they stay open late (with select 24 hour branches) to suit your midnight munchies, they offer delicious Filipino fare, that is somewhat elevated yet accessible, at affordable prices.
While Coco Hut’s prices aren’t at the level of nationwide fast food chains, they make up for it with honest quality. The atmosphere is as laid-back as any similar self-service restaurant, sharing familiar interiors with their aforementioned restaurant sibling. Go with their titular dishes with an order of chicken or the Poor Man’s Fish, and make it a meal with a Tamarind iced tea.
