Addi says: “The marinated half-boiled egg was a pleasant surprise. The dish had more garlic and oil than I would’ve preferred, however.”

Diana says: “Didn’t taste like cinnamon at all, and the bacon was too soggy for my liking.”

Mikka says: “For the first time, Mamou has failed to impress. The steak was packed with more fat than meat, and it was more on the rare side than medium. What a bloody mess.”

Mye says: “Though I’d still prefer their chicken wings over the tenders, they do garlic parmesan better than most!”

Miso Tonkotsu from Ikkoryu Fukkuoka Ramen (Php 380)

Adee says: “It’s very tasty and satisfying, but I wish I ordered the Ajitama Tonkotsu instead. The miso seems to be working against the natural flavors of the broth. It could also use a bit more chashu.”

Deconstructed Tiramisu from Umami Hambaagu House (PHP 180)

Nico says: “Was disappointed since the concept was promising. The flavors were there, but the texture felt like you were eating a soupy Tiramisu.”

Diner’s Rating: 5/10 (Mom’s rating: 9/10, so good job Umami for making her happy last Mother’s Day!)

Steph says: “Makes me want to schedule a road trip to Vigan.”

Giselle says: “With the tangy flavors of passion fruit and yogurt at the forefront of this fruity creation, it’s the perfect summer cake.”
