Here’s How You Can Be Part of Tablecrafter: The World’s First Online School for Food PhotographyJuly 22, 2015
It comes as no surprise that food is quickly becoming the iconic center of attention as more and more people are becoming drawn to its candor and effortless artistry. Thanks to social media—the monster that is Instagram, specifically—food photos are rapidly evolving from just snap and send images to carefully thought-of compositions that, on some occasions, make you want to lick your screen senseless.
Owing to her food photography beginnings, Pepper.ph founder Mylene Chung has a pretty sweet project currently brewing called Tablecrafter. The first global online micro-school devoted to taking the ultimate food photos. Built by a group of photographers, designers, and food lovers, it’s a place for aspiring food photographers, cooks, chefs, and simply hungry minds to learn how to take better photos, whether on their smartphones or fancy cameras. It aims to function as both a cyber school and an online platform for enthusiasts that want to learn more about taking good food photos in the span of just a couple of weeks.
In order to make this a real thing, Tablecrafter needs a little push via crowd-funding platform, Kickstarter. Helping out in funding this project comes with some kickass rewards like a yearlong subscription at half the price!
