February 23, 2015

Until a few years ago, you never really went to the mall for a good meal. You’d instantly think of fast food chains or food courts, and never an excellent gastronomic experience. But times have changed, and in our ever-burgeoning food culture, the mall has become one of the, if not the best place to look for a great meal. The choices are no longer limited, with international chains making their home in malls, and even seriously talented chefs opening concept restaurants alongside retail stores.

Glorietta 5 is one of those places, for a decent grub. It has become a hub for some of Manila’s favorite restaurants, and with a prime location right in the Makati Central Business District, it has easy access for all sorts of people, from office workers , to families on their day out. There are two floors filled with cuisine that will satisfy any appetite, from those craving Japanese ramen and tonkatsu to those looking for a good old American slice of pizza.

Good news, too, is that there are places for every budget: if you’re looking for a quick meal during your lunch break, or splurging a little for a family occasion, you’re spoilt for choice. Here, we’ve outlined a handy guide for you when navigating Glorietta 5. With all these choices, it might even become the next destination for your food trip!
