We have long been fans of our friendly neighborhood café Bean & Yolk—and not just for their fast internet. But we recently discovered a drink that they produce that is pure genius: the Malagos cold brew.
This cool concoction is made from 65% chocolate from the titular Davao-based single origin chocolate brand, which they steep in cold water for 16 to 18 hours to extract its gentle flavor. The result is a light and subtly sweet drink with a hint of bitter chocolate taste. Aptly known as “chocolate tea” by their regular customers, the drink gives a refreshing buzz that is perfect for those who need a pick-me-up but are afraid of the coffee-jitters.
